Understanding the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: A Christian Academic’s Guide to the Geopolitical Reality

As Christians, we hold a profound spiritual and historical appreciation for the land of Israel. Because our faith is deeply rooted in the biblical narrative and God’s historical covenant, watching the ongoing conflict in the Middle East can be deeply distressing and confusing. With so much conflicting information in the daily news, it is vital for us to be updated and truly understand what is happening on the ground today.

To help bridge this gap, I have published a new white paper: Geopolitical Synthesis: An Analysis of Sovereignty, Territory, and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. I wrote this not to push a specific political stance, but as an independent academician and a Christian. My goal was to create an objective “info book” that helps readers understand the immense complexities of the region without the media spin.

In this report, I break down:

  • What really happened: We look at the actual geography of the land, from the borders of the “Green Line” to the deeply complex division of the West Bank and Gaza.
  • The Clash of Truths: I explore Israel’s 3,000-year biblical mandate and pursuit of restorative justice, and why that directly collides with the Palestinian narrative of continuous indigeneity.
  • Why solutions aren’t working: We examine why traditional peace models—like Land Swaps or the Two-State Solution—remain deadlocked. I also explain the intense friction between Israel’s absolute need for national survival and the demands of secular international law.

This conflict is ultimately a tragedy of two valid truths colliding. If you want to better understand the history, the current reality, and the profound challenges facing the land we read about in our Bibles, you can download my full research paper for free on ResearchGate.
