Today, I want to share a part of my life that I haven’t made public until now. While many of you know me as an artist and entrepreneur, there’s another side of me that’s deeply passionate about education and religious studies.
For a while now, I’ve been quietly tutoring in religious studies, English, and creative writing. It’s been a journey of immense joy and fulfillment. What’s particularly fascinating to me is my involvement in tutoring theology students.
You might wonder why theology, especially when I’m not a theology major myself. Well, it goes back to my roots. Both my parents are pastors, deeply committed to their faith and actively involved in Bible schools. I’ve spent most of my life as a pastor’s kid, growing up in the service of the church. This upbringing instilled in me a profound love for religious studies and a thirst for knowledge.
Tutoring theology students has been a remarkable experience. It’s a field where I get to learn just as much as I teach. I may not have a theology major, but I have a lifetime of exposure to theological discussions and biblical teachings.
Through these tutoring sessions, I’ve delved into the intricacies of scripture, understanding the context of verses, and even exploring the depths of Hebrew and Greek words. There’s something profoundly satisfying about deciphering the languages of God and helping others unlock the wisdom within them.
My journey as a tutor in religious studies has allowed me to gain insights, engage in exegesis, and foster a greater understanding of the profound topics that have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s a journey I’m excited to continue and share with all of you.
